2022 – Past, Present & Future.
Happy March! Can you believe it’s already three months into 2022? We have some Landmarks updates for you where we reflect on the past, bask in the present and look forward to the future. Read below to learn more!
Past – Common Ground
This past weekend on Saturday, February 26th and Sunday, February 27th Landmarks performed at Hibernian Hall in Roxbury and Bethel AME in Jamaica Plain respectively. This was our first time at Hibernian Hall and we had a blast and hope our audience enjoyed the performance as well! On Sunday, we returned to Bethel AME, where we had previously been in July 2021 and had great audiences both nights.
The theme of Common Ground was togetherness and uniting multiple pieces from all over the world into one unified program.
We hope to be back soon for more live performances, but this was a great way to start off our 2022 season!

Present – Virtual “American Portraits”
Did you miss our September 3, 2021 concert of “American Portraits”?
You can still catch the full concert on YouTube and Vimeo! The concert was virtually presented in January and February in two parts. Both parts will remain up for a few more weeks. You have until March 17th to watch part one which features Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with pianist David Coleman, and works by William Grant Still and George Chadwick.
For part two, you have until April 7th to view Copland’s “Lincoln Portrait” and the world premiere of “A Walk in Her Shoes” by Boston composer Francine Trester.
This outdoor concert was a lovely way to end our 2021 Summer Concert Series and we hope you can experience it!
Future – “UN-Gala”
Are you ready to party at the “UN-Gala”? Wait a minute, what’s an “UN-Gala”? An “UN-Gala” is our way of saying we’re putting on a fun, festive, non-traditional gala. This gala will honor Laura Connors for her decade of outstanding service!
Join us for the party where we plan to put on the best “UN-Gala” on earth! Keep following us as we release more information on this fabulous event.
See you soon!
