Community Concerts
In response to community needs, Landmarks created a concert series that targets four neighborhoods: Roxbury, Mattapan, East Boston, and Chelsea. These concerts take place in familiar local venues, and like all Landmarks concerts, they have a relaxed atmosphere and feature racially and genre-diverse composers and pieces. We’ve performed at Hibernian Hall in Nubian Square, Peoples Baptist Church in Roxbury, and Bethel AME Church in Jamaica Plain.

Music & Memory
Our Music & Memory program caters to older adults with Alzheimer’s and other forms of memory loss. A string quartet performs forty five minutes of familiar music with guided listening at assisted living facilities. Research has shown that classical music can relax those with memory loss. This program is offered free of charge to all facilities.

Accessibility Advisory Council
Landmarks’ Accessibility Advisory Council advises us on current accessibility best practices and how we can improve our initiatives that cater to people with disabilities. The Council meets quarterly and is led by Landmarks Breaking Down Barriers Coordinator Christopher Robinson. Members come from across the greater Boston area, and their unique lived experiences have helped Landmarks improve our digital accessibility as well as wayfaring at concerts.
If you’re interested in joining the Council, contact Cate Gallagher at 617-987-2000, ext. 106 or [email protected].
